DOMES:           Good evening Mr Porgy. Would you kindly tell us about the incident. From the beginning                      please. Constable, take notes would you.

GEORGE:          Oh super! Well, I had just been performing my latest composition…Hey Diddle…..

CONSTABLE:     (writing in notebook mutters) Diddle

GEORGIE:         Down at the village Inn

CONSTABLE:     That’s the Cat and the Fiddle, sir

GEORGIE:         I came back to the hall, went into the kitchen whereupon I discovered Wanita ………..

DOMES:           (to Whatsup) A bit of a dish by all accounts

GEORGIE:          ....wearing nothing but the silver utensil, chasing Simon the stable lad……a right little dog…                       around the table. She screamed in horror when she saw me.

INSPECTOR:      You surprised them?

GEORGIE:         Oh, the cow jumped over the moon! The little dog laughed to see such fun…

WHATSUP:        And the dish ran away with the spoon?

GEORGIE:          Exactly!
